I am very happy to be able to host images from the creation of the Green Tara Sand mandala by the Dalai Lama's monks. Click the title of this post to see the album.
As always, Tibetan sand mandala ceremonies are powerful lessons in letting ago. As you can see by the images in this gallery, a tremendous amount of time, energy and attention to detail went into the creation of this magical circle. In some ways, this is similar to the time & energy we invest in creating our lifes, our work, our families and our futures.
It can be said that the mandala represents the abode of qualities of the enlightened mind of the Mother of all Buddhas. Or, you may choose to see it as art in process, meditation in action.. but it is very difficult not to become attached to the sparkling mandala.
The healing for me is in the closing ceremony. Please visit this page to complete the lesson of impermanence.
Wishing you joy,
Ann George
