Emotional Freedom Technique

Invented by Gary Craig, the Emotional Freedom Technique--EFT--was first introduced to the public in 1993. The technique is based on the belief that negative thoughts and emotions create disturbances in a person's field of energy, resulting in the anxiety and depression. These imbalances of energy and emotions can lead to further imbalances of the immune system, resulting in sickness or other pains.

Sometimes, if these imbalances go unnoticed for periods of time, it can result in cancer. And since a diagnosis is stressful enough, negative thoughts can hinder healing. Many patients usually search for ways to control pain, anxiety and other negative occurrences without turning to the use of additional drugs. An increasing number of individuals are searching for natural and non-invasive treatments, even when no distinct cure can be offered.

The Process

As a type of complementary treatment, EFT is regarded by certain individuals as a form of psychotherapy. Practitioners try to assist the person to manipulate his or her body's energy field by training the patient to visualize a traumatic episode or memory in his or her life or while tapping on specific acupressure points. In this way, the Emotional Freedom Technique is similar to acupuncture and healing touch therapies, as well as other therapies that attempt to manipulate the energy field of the body.

Practitioners spend some initial time talking with the patient in his or her first therapy session, which allows the patient to speak of whatever concerns or issues he or she might have. Those suffering generally seek relief from anxiety and depression, although therapists state that numerous patients also hope the Emotional Freedom Technique will help relieve their pain.

After these issues are addressed, the EFT practitioner will proceed to show the patient the areas on which to tap and how to use the technique properly. Patients learn to make positive statements while tapping, such as "while I may sometimes experience depression, I wholly accept both my situation and myself." Some of the tapping areas may originate from the wrists and continue to the head, temple, eyebrow, under the eyes, nose, collarbone, chin, or underarm area. Proponents of the technique adhere to the belief that verbalizing acceptance of the problem will promote realignment of the energy field of the body.

Although the program's founder states that numerous individuals treated with EFT have shown improvement, there is not yet any scientific evidence to support this statement, or the claims that the progression of the cancer can be slowed through its use. However, there is no risk associated with the technique and there have been reports of cancer patients feeling better emotionally after participating in this treatment. Many doctors and patients with a low-survivability rate cancer, such as non-hodgkin’s lymphoma or pleural mesothelioma, swear by EFT. They said the positivity EFT brought them after treatments, made them feel more acceptant of the conventional treatments.

Since the end of May, I have received many calls from clients who are experiencing an unnatural increase in anxiety, fears about the future, and doubts about their own ability to succeed. These are all bright, successful people who have a history of material, emotional and spiritual success.

What seems to be happening is that they are "off center", and not without reason. The mainstream media in particular, which must report the news as it sees fit, presents a picture of our world and our planet that is most unsettling. During this time of global economic transition, many people are rightly fearful, and my post is not intended to dismiss the concerns anyone is having about their emotional or financial welfare at this time.

I do intend information for new clients who are wondering if Usui Reiki will benefit them, help them to feel more balanced, confident and emotionally secure. I am pleased to refer you to an article by a skilled Usui Reiki Master who speaks to the effectiveness of Reiki to address emotional concerns.

Energetically, one of the symptoms of stress and anxiety is an overactivity in the third eye chakra, while the crown chakra may be closed or restricted. Sometimes the throat chakra is also restricted.. meaning that the "size" or the "stregnth" of the energy moving in that wheel is less than other energy centers in the central column. This occurs because our "minds run away with us", causing us to become mentally transfixed by our worries an concerns.

Media, the financial troubles of friends and family, announcements about war, budget deficits are disturbing, and of course give "just cause" for more thinking about troubles. As well, some people are actually turning the stress inwards, blaming themselves for not being better protected, for not making better decisions, for a long list of actions not taken to ensure quality of life.

The metaphysical, and energetic constant is change. Everything, including our energy bodies, functions best in a balanced flux, a give and take if you will. However, worry can cut it's own groove in the energy record we play each day.. and over time, worry, no matter how well founded, corrupts the natural movement of energy through the chakras.

Usui Reiki is an energy modality that seeks to restore a natural balance to the human energy field. Natural in that the balance is your own rhythm.. the heart beat that is natural for you. In so doing, restricted chakras are loosed, wide open chakras are calmed, and the energy body gradually comes to rest in a condition of equipose.

It would be lovely if one could "think" one's way out of stress and anxiety, but troubles of the mind are often best addressed by healing the body, either through Reiki, massage or acupuncture. All these methods bypass the mind to create harmony in the body, thus making the body a more comfortable resting place for the mind.

Remote or distance Reiki healing is particularly helpful to combat stress, tension and anxiety because the treatment only requires that you relax, reclining comfortably at home, and allow the practitioner to send the healing energy to you. You don't have to drive, meet someone new, get dressed.. take time from your day... just choose an evening when you will have about 20 uninterrupted minutes to receive your energy healing.

I have provided a few links back my site to provide you more information, and am certain that if you are interest in choosing to schedule a Reiki treatment you will be able to find a healer you are comfortable working with. Energy Healing, Clairvoyance & Henna Tattoo

As is the case with insightful questions from clients & customers, I receive their permission to post my answers to their questions on a blog. This most excellent letter came just the other day, and I chose to reply in this Energy Healing blog as the questions seem most easily answered in Energy Healing language.

It will answer the letter in a three party reply as each of the questions require specific answers. Please know that I share only my experience & observations. I certainly do not pretend to have all the answers for everyone, nor do I intend to address this reply to all healers nor all modalities.

I come from an Usui Reiki background in energy healing, and a Western Mystery tradition for the clairvoyant aspects of my work, thus I tend to err on the side of caution.
That said, here is the first question:

"I wanted to inquire about your abilities as a clairvoyant and how that may apply to your henna work. Being a henna artist as well, I obviously touch a lot of people's skin and sometimes I feel like I am being sent messages about the person that are intended for them, from spirit. I am not always sure that they will be open to hearing what I have to say and wondered what your advice on this would be."

My reply: When working with clients as a henna artist, I allow myself to be only that. I very much enjoy meeting people in a relaxed, neutral & welcoming situation where I am able to just be present to do art. If there is any clairvoyance in play, it seems to be only that henna forms a relationship with each customer, and designs often emerge that are "just what I wanted". I think all body artists hear this kind of comment, especially if they have taken a moment to really listen to their customer.

I honor that you sometimes feel that you are being sent messages about a person from spirit. I have learned that unasked for advice is often not welcome. At present, I only answer questions when asked. I also provide clairvoyant services in a sacred space, and by appointment. In this way clients are sure to be ready to receive answers to their questions, and I am certain that I have their permission to access their portion of the Akashic Record fort their greatest good.

In some cases, even with all the above boundaries in place, clients may still be anxious or even fearful about having a clairvoyant reading. While some people are very open, and welcome spiritual messages at any time and in any circumstance... others are not. I strongly prefer to do no harm.. so, if I do receive any information while providing a henna tattoo, I let that knowing just flow by. I do not attach importance to it, nor do I share it. Most of my henna clients know me as an artist, and a few as a mystic or healer, and expect that service from me.

The second aspect or second question:

" I also am becoming more recognized by myself and others as a bit of a healer and have often put the intention of healing into my work when doing henna. I figure it cannot harm them to send healing through the henna and being that it has been used for good luck and well being for milennia, it seems a good conduit for this. What are your thoughts or suggestions on this if any?"

My reply: As one of my greatest teachers one said: "Intention is everything." I intend to be of benefit to every henna customer, to offer them my full attention, appropriate touch, a beautiful design applied while they are comfortable. I intend that they feel welcome, and valuable. These seemingly simple intentions are often the most powerful of all healing gifts.

As my clients are coming for art, art is what they get. Should a customer ask for a power symbol, a healing design, or a healing experience during the henna process, I am happy to intend that their design be a healing or empowering symbol.

In fact, following the "Messages From Water" model, drawing kanji or other meaningful symbols over pulse points may become it's own healing process all together. So, I suppose the short answer is that I offer healing services when they are ordered, or requested. However, healers heal; good touch is good touch; and loving kindness shines through to bless everyone.

In the process of offering a donation based public Reiki Healing circle weekly over a period of two years, I have learned that not everyone who asks for healing really wants it. I have learned that what I might find a problem, or an area that requires healing may not be seen that way by the person coming to the circle.

The third part of the question:

"Is there any other practice I should be doing that will help me to tune into these abilities more and to be of greater service to my clients? What are the ethics behind such a practice? I appreciate any feedback that you have for me and look forward to your response." Much love and peace, Rosemary

My reply:I think Usui Reiki Energy Healing is the most excellent training to receive I wish everyone was Reiki. Usui Reiki heals the healer while healing the client. The ethics are simple, ancient, honorable and freeing. I have seen remarkable and complete healings occur with Usui Reiki.

One of the reasons this model is so pleasing to me is that it works best when I get out of the way and allow the natural Universal Life Energy to flow through me, to the client, to return that person to their own, true Energy Nature. It is good for people, plants, animals, environments.

Usui Reiki heals mentally, emotionally & spiritually in my experience. I encourage you to seek your training from a traditional Usui Reiki Master who has a Master. Although there are many "embellishments" to the original model, I am still happily practicing Reiki when asked.

I hope this post is helpful to you. Please know the tone of voice - so hard to convey in type for me - is warm, and happy. I thank you so much for writing & for allowing me to post your questions to a public forum.

Healing Financial Anxiety - A Meditation for Troubled Times

There are many fine books written about the benefit & power of creative visualization. One of the best is "Creative Visualization" by Shakti Gawain. I read it long years ago.. and the concepts there changed my life. If you are able to purchase, here is the link: Creative Visualization: Use the Power of Your Imagination to Create What You Want in Your Life (Gawain, Shakti) If not, I am hope you will find it in your local library.

The idea of creating, or co-creating reality is very important, perhaps crucial at this time. I am hoping all Energy Healers will begin to practice a visualization to accompany this meditation. If we begin now, I am sure the collective energy of our thinking will be of great value.

The meditation is my work, I wrote it to accompany the purchase the Moon Poured Money candles I have been making for many years. I offer you the benefit of the meditation, but retain the copyright.

I am hoping that if we all start now.. affirming wealth & practicing generosity to the best of our ability.. whether we give time, talent or treasure.. we will turn the tide of panic, anxiety, and the downward economic spiral to an even keel.

I am one with infinite supply.

The First Cause? Energy Healing & Environmental Action

I have been feeling the Earth call for healing. But those aren't quite the words to describe the vibrational pull felt over the past few weeks. Others have called or written to comment on their growing awareness of a subtle intensity... one that is insistent but vague.

This post is triggered in part by memories of my Great Aunt Ella's trash pile in the backyard of her little clapboard house in Whynot, Mississippi. I visited there as a child (last century of course) and went out to the far back yard with her to burn the trash. At that time, there was not trash pick-up. Each family had to burn or bury what would not decompose. I remember watching the trash burn, but not the tin cans. And of seeing, after the fire had consumed the cloth & paper, a sodden pile of debris.

Today, our debris is packed into plastic bags and hauled out of sight. Our water isn't really ours, someone else is watching our well.. so we have not been taught things my mother new... you don't poison your well, you don't salt your earth.

Remembering this, I am more troubled by products I see daily. Some of these products are plastic or petroleum based, products that are not vital to life, but that actually hurt our environment. If you pause a moment, perhaps you too will notice that plug-in air freshening products may not be the most eco-friendly purchases we can make. Or, soaps that are no longer just bar soaps in paper, but dazzling, fragranced liquids in remarkable bottles... plastic of course.

As an Energy Healer, I am now coming to better understand that treating people is not the end of the journey. Every purchase I make is a statement of intent, a commitment to the healing of this an future generations. It feels good to expand my awareness. It feels good to bring bags to the market, stop all the junk mail, buy only products in cardboard containers. It feels good use biodegradable laundry soap - in fact the price, thus the sacrifice, makes the decision more valuable.

I remain forever grateful to the farm women who are my grandmothers, great aunts, distant cousins. In a few short weeks of childhood, they showed me a world view that may well serve to save me from the karma of convenience as a priority.

Reiki Freedom in Florida

I recently received a letter from a Florida man looking for the Reiki exchange:

"Maybe I just missed it. I was looking for the time and place of the Reiki exchange. I have been attuned and am looking for a local exchange. Thanks for your time. "

Sadly, the Reiki exchange has been discontinued. Due to unfortunate restrictions placed on energy healers by the State of Florida, I now limit my work to distance healing. In this way, I am not touching the client and am not violating any regulations applied to the practice of Reiki by the Florida Board of Massage Therapists in particular.

Aura Cleansing and the Human Energy Field

I am pleased to return to an overview of Aura Cleansing by linking you to a few fine articles already published by reputable sources that give evidence to the existence of the human aura or the human energy field:

For those of you who already see the human energy body, have had energy healing or are practicing a yogic discipline or are working with Chi in another modality... please bear with. Or if you prefer, please add comments to this post. Sometimes it is the collective experience that gives the greatest evidence & makes the best argument.

I have been to sites of skeptics, read their points of view, and moved on. I hope you will do the same. A good conclusion requires an open minded exploration of ideas. What remains strange to me is a culture that finds the concept of the human energy field too far out, happily puts frozen food in a metal box, pushes buttons, waits a few moments & enjoys a microwaved meal. FAQ About Aura Cleansing

I have been receiving more letters about aura cleansing lately, all containing very good questions, so I thought to take a moment to review the energetic principles of aura cleansing.

Let me begin with the e-mails concerning dark bands, dark clouds, negative energy etc. in the aura. If you are seeing an ethical energy healer, that person will give you a full explanation of what they are "seeing" when they report these sort of ominous things, what they think their "seeing" means, and they will outline steps you can take to improve your energetic well-being relevant to this diagnosis. If you are receiving the "dark cloud" diagnosis without constructive advice, it is best to find another healer.

The human energy body, human energy field, or the aura, is naturally in a state of flux. As we move throughout the day, different kinds of demands are placed on us on every level... physical, mental, emotional & spiritual. Just as the body may respond by becoming tense, the mind may respond by becoming irritable, the energy body & its chakras will also respond. This is natural.

As well, just as we may stretch, or have a shower, or take some deep breaths & step out of the home or office for a moment to clear our heads... we may choose to cleanse (or smudge) our subtle energy bodies. There are different ways to do this, and human beings have used the tools at hand in their environments to accomplish this goal.

Whether we use rattles, mists, waters, shakers, bells, or incense to refresh the aura, the underlying principle is that we are interrupting the distressing energetic processes with our efforts. Sometimes, we have neglected our energy bodies for so long that they are "frozen" or "stuck" or "armored" and several smudgings or cleansings may be necessary to restore equilibrium.

Now, be sure that I am not suggesting that my Aura Cleansing Incense is the only tool to use, nor do I propose that Aura Cleansing as briefly described today is a full introduction to this idea & practice. I do intend to begin a discussion of this healing modality, and intend over the next several weeks to expand on this beginning.

Motivated in part by my concern for our fragile planet I feel compelled to make the case for natural energy healing & the use of incense & essential oils in particular to offset the consumption of petroleum based fabric sprays, candles, mists & scented plug-in products that effect a fragrance change ( a clue that we know we want to feel better & to be restored to a more natural condition ) rather than a true transformation of our etheric environment.

As always, Tibetan sand mandala ceremonies are powerful lessons in letting ago. As you can see by the images in this gallery, a tremendous amount of time, energy and attention to detail went into the creation of this magical circle. In some ways, this is similar to the time & energy we invest in creating our lifes, our work, our families and our futures.

It can be said that the mandala represents the abode of qualities of the enlightened mind of the Mother of all Buddhas. Or, you may choose to see it as art in process, meditation in action.. but it is very difficult not to become attached to the sparkling mandala.

When I kept a Studio open to the general public, and offered a weekly Reiki exchange, I provided a series of simple explanations about Reiki healing to all participants. I now realized that it is time to pubish these explanations on blog, as articles on my site may not have made it clear that there is in fact a participatory process to receiving Reiki, although quite a simple one.

To participate in Reiki, to receive healing, one must ASK for the treatment. Asking is participatory, and often, the most difficult part of any healing process. It is the asking that makes the healing possible. It is acknowledging that we need help, that we are willing to receive help.. and that we will do what it takes to get that help, even if "what it takes" may simply be sitting still.

Further, the client particpates in the energy healing process by exchanging energy for energy in the form of money for services. This exchange in my opinion is also participatory, and vital to the success of the healing process.

"Passive healing" can occur in all sorts of ways. Published here is another photo of the Amitabha mandala by the Dalai Lama's monks. I find it amazingly powerful, visually stimualting, wonderous & healing. Tibetan sand mandalas leave me speechless... and healed in deep and subtle ways I can't quite explain, but want to share with you.

Of course, it is important to note that Reiki is not a religious healing process... nor is it in any way related to the mandala.. I was just offering an illustration, or example of healing that requires only the participation of seeing.

Reiki Energy Healing to Attract Healthy Relationships

This post is an effort to provide clarity & direction, hope & empowerment for those who are making every effort to attract healthy emotional/sexual relationships... and who find that in spite of their best efforts... they continue to attract the same partner in a different package. (Of course, this post should also prove useful for those who continue to be hired by the same abusive employer, indifferent corporation, or those who keep hitting the same dead end in any area of life.)

While it is true that there are many wonderful therapies to address the mind, and many excellent modalities to physically treat the emotional body.. the human energy body is often overlooked in the process of healing & self transformation. This simple omission can be the cause of tremendous suffering, and an abject lowering of self esteem. Why? Because in spite of all best efforts mentally and emotionally.. even physically in terms of "make overs".. weight loss, body building, new hair styles, new wardrobe.... we remain vibrational creatures. We can become attuned, or accustomed to a certain type of energy environment.

Observing the world around us, we may often wonder why a very lovely woman continues to attract abusive partners, or why a charming & successful man always finds himself with an alcoholic lover. The answer is often that women was raised in an abusive home environment, and unknowingly, energetically, she is sending out "signals" that this type of environment is comfortable to her, thus attracting a partner who prefers to create abusive environment and those who accept that condition.
The successful man most likely had a primary childhood relationship with one or more alcoholic family members, and finds that on some non-verbal level, the energy of alcoholic homes is strangely comfortable in all its chaos.

While this may seem illogical, or far-fetched, and one might reason that no thinking person would constantly make these same dead end choices over and over... the key concept of this article is that the situations described above are not "thinking" problems, they are not the result of "rational" decisions. They are more like falling down a manhole you didn't see coming because you were distracted.

Please allow me to illustrate with a primitive, yet hopefully effective example from nature. If you go scuba diving off the Great Barrier Reef with any three people in the world... any three, and one of you accidentally swims too close to the coral reef, tears your wet suit, scrapes your flesh & begins to bleed into the water... then, no matter who tore the suit, what they believe in, where they came from, how hard they tried to become a brilliant scuba diver, how many lessons they took.. how desperately they wanted to scuba dive happily ever after... there is now blood in the water.

As a result of that simple change in the great ocean, apex predators from a distance as great as 100 miles, sensing that change in their environment, will come to investigate. The Great White Shark doesn't really care who is bleeding, and perhaps thrashing about in the water. It is behaving as it must, responding as it is conditioned to, or created to. It, or perhaps they, are coming to see what might be for dinner.

As a healthy human being... anticipating the possible approach of the apex predator.. you must make some decisions. The healthy decision is to get out of that water. Then, definitely, repair the wet suit, tend your wound (STOP BLEEDING), wait until the wound is healed and the sharks are long gone before getting back into the water to finish your swim. All these actions take time and effort, and yet they are all life saving.

I think it is important to note that the scuba diver did not intend to attract a Great White Shark. The diver was just being a little careless, or a show off, or just scared silly of scuba diving, we don't know. And it doesn't benefit us to blame the diver.

Sometimes after a failed relationship, people don't want to get out the water, tend their wounds, and get new wet suits. People often want to jump right back into the dating game and try again to find that perfect partner. Now, none of us would want to jump into bloody water filled with sharks.......however, because in western culture in particular, we are not trained to view our world as an energy environment, nor ourselves as vibrational creatures.. the idea of mastering the dating game with our wits, or charm, or planning, or effective choice making, or our list... seems perfectly reasonable.

The point is, that all hurtful relationships affect us energetically, leaving marks, or tears, or wounds or stains in our energy bodies, or auras. Healthy loving relationships also affect our energy bodies causing them to be brighter, and more resiliant and lovely. All these changes are happening all the time. But repeated kinds of negative relationship begin to leave deeper and deeper grooves in our "energy record". These wounds can't be healed with words, or clothes, or make overs, or new lovers. They must be healed with "energy medicine".

Reiki healing for the dying

I recently received a call from a client who was interested in purchasing a Reiki treatment for a relative diagnosed with a terminal illness. As the person was rapidly approaching death, the caller was concerned about possible "negative" effects of Reiki on someone so ill. In particular, it seemed that that caller was fearful that a Reiki treatment might precipated the death of the loved one.

It is my experience, having been priviliged to send Reiki treatments to people who were dying, that Reiki treatments are preceived by the dying as very, very calming, very spiritual and very loving moments in time. The most memorable incident was reported by family of a woman who was dying in a hospital. A member of the then active Reiki Healing exchange asked the group to send Reiki to this woman. We all felt a very strong energetic connection, and the group sent energy for mind/body balance, distance healing and greatest peace. We all learned at the next meeting of the exchange that the woman reported having a very strong sense of angels being present in the room at the time the treatment was being sent.

In other instances, clients who have chosen to include Reiki as part of their dying process, many of whom took full advantage of all the modern medical treatments available, and some who did not, reported that they were able to move toward death with a greater sense of calm and spiritual well-being than they had thought possible.

In none of these instances did Reiki serve as a miracle cure to heal these people from the disease that ultimately ended their physical life. However, I was taught early in my training that sometimes death itself is a healing.

While this idea may be very uncomfortable at first, I find it to be true. It has not been my experience that Reiki has "caused" the death of a terminally ill person. However, as this blog is intended to be a vehicle for Reiki practitoners to share their experiences with Reiki healing, I welcome posts from those who may have greater experience than I with the process of sending Reiki to the dying.

A frequently asked question about Reiki Distance Healing.

I have received several emails over the past few weeks from clients who have ordered Reiki distance healing. The questions asked all were relevant to the idea that the client could somehow interrupt the healing, or fail to receive the full benefit of the healing because they were unable to relax, were distracted, didn't "feel" the same effect for the second treatment as they did for the first. Of course, I answered each letter personally, but as the question came up more than once, I thought a small article on the topic would be helpful.

Once we have made the agreement that you will receive a Reiki distance healing, and you have sent the day, time and place that you want the treatment to occur, then.. the healing treatement will be sent as you requested. Other than cancelling or rescheduling the appointment, there is nothing you can do that will diminish the effect of the Reiki. You may not consciously experience the same remarkable effects if you are distracted, but the energy healing will occur all the same.

In fact, this is one of the reasons Reiki is such an excellent healing modality. The client is not required to do anything at all. In particular, when treating small children (at the request of their parents of course) or the elderly (at the request of their children), stroke patients, or even animals...this energy fact makes Reiki the modality of choice.

Further, because the flow of Reiki is so gentle, and because Reiki seeks to restore balance & purity to the human energy body as well as the physical body, many of the effects of the treatment are quite subtle and manifest as a sense of calm well-being as the the healing reverberates throughout the body. Often the results unfold over a period of three days.

It is true that some people have remarkable experiences when receiving Reiki treatments. This does not indicate that those who have a profound reaction receive more healing than those who are unable to perceive anything unusual at all. The beauty of Reiki is that this natural healing energy works with the body, mind and spirit of each individual to bring about the best possible outcome.

Reiki Healing - What to Expect

I recently received the following question:
"I wanted to know what results i could expect from both the distance healing and the other candles."
As it is a very good question, I decided to publish the answer below.

It is important to differentiate between the benefits available from energy healing from those available from the use of ritual healing candles, Reiki charged or otherwise.

The first important difference in the result stems from the way in which the modalities are applied. With energy healing and/or distance healing, the presence of the healer, the intent of the healer, and the channeled energy are "external causes" for healing.

The results vary from person to person depending on a number of factors. In general, everyone who has received a distance healing from me has reported at least one of the following benefits:
Relaxation, Improved Peace of Mind & a Reduction in Symptoms.
Some clients have reported remarkable improvements in their condition.

It is important to note that people request healings for disturbances in the physical, mental, emotional and/or spritual bodies. Depending on the length of time that the condition has been present, the severity of the condition & the overall willingness of the client to be healed... one treatment may be all that is required. For other conditions.. several treatments may be required.

With a ritual healing candle there is an "internal cause" for healing which is benefited by external support (the candle color, fragrance, and the light itself). My ritual candles in particular come with an affirmation which is to be repeated daily in a "ritual" setting. The application of the ritual instructions, coupled with the affirmation & benefit of the candle itself, facilitate healing consciousness for the user.

The power of the mind to heal can not be understated! When used as instructed, and most important -regularly- the healing benefit of a ritual candle is actually the healing benefit of retraining the mind to accept what often seems impossible - healing.
